In near future, such contestants will be able to improve over their mistakes, for an innovative helmet hanged camera, the ATC2K, to record about 30 frames per second, even three meters underwater, is the recent proclamation of Oregon Scientific.

Featuring USB and RCA cables for live output and AA batteries to power the unit; the ATC2K records video at 640 by 480 pixels to SD flash memory, in addition to 32 MB of internal memory and an SD card slot. The camera just weights less than a pound.

The new camera will not only help sportspersons to record their mistakes but will proffer them with an opportunity to rectify, future, slip-ups.

Reed Gleason and Bill Arras are two aviation enthusiasts who are trying to design a mini airship (a small helium filled blimps) for their personal use. Their goal is to travel the world by this airship by using wind as the primary means of locomotion.

The blimp they are using is not new and it has once set a FAI record for its class of airship when it achieved the height of 93 km 14 years ago.

The aim of these two is to achieve the speed of up to 25 mph for at least two hours by changing the design and making it more aerodynamic. For the propulsion they will use a combination of human power and but primary propulsion will be through wind.

Finally they want to develop an airship which can carry two people and then they will pack their bags and start hopping around the world landing where they want and flying when they want.

Check out the photos in the given links and see what world looks like from up there.

Looks like two Wright brothers in new avatar.

People living near airports will not have a headache quite often as the airports will not burst with the noise of landing and taking-off jets.

A team of 40 researchers from the Cambridge University has developed a wide streamlined jet, which they plan to unveil next week.

The ‘Silent Jet’ as they call it will sound as noisy as a washing machine from outside the airport and would carry 215 passengers. The Aircraft could be in air by 2030.

Reducing noise has been the focus of many manufacturers like Boeing, Airbus etc. who see their dream coming true in this design.

Silent Jet is a flying wing and employs the current ‘Stealth’ technology from the military aircrafts. It lacks the central vertical stabilizer at the tail of the passenger jets and instead has a pair of stabilizers at the wingtips.

The proposed model has a 68-meter wingspan and is 44-meters from nose to tail. The design allows the plane to cruise in for a landing more quietly as it does not have wing flaps.

The plane also takes off silently as it uses three engines at the middle of the plane rather than on the wings.

Transportation
from Point A to B has been the man’s biggest problem since time immemorial and man has been inventing things for this purpose. This one also got invented because of the above needs.

The Russian developed an aerosled which could provide transportation to a person in harsh climates of tundra. The January Barrett-Jackson Collector Car auction will include a fully-restored N007 Tupolev - a vehicle capable of running on land and water.

When the Russian developed it for their harsh weather conditions it had a 365HP nine cylinder engine and it could hover on land, water and marshlands with speeds of up to 80 mph.

The N007 reached US via a German business man in 1999 and he set out on the task to restore it to its glory days. After restoration it served as a rescue vehicle and earned many awards for its rescue missions.

Riding a bicycle while hearing music is great fun but the only problem faced is the wind that strikes straight on your ears when you are speeding. It creates a lot of noise and makes music hardly audible. It even makes it hard for your earbuds to remain at the right position.

The single solution to all these problems is given by The Slipstreamz Slip ($13 a pair, in bicycle shops or from macfriends). These plastic shells simply fasten to a bicycle helmet’s straps, holding the earbuds slightly away from your ear canal. This arrangement protects your ears from wind noise but lets the music and surrounding sound in to your ears.

They can be used without earbuds when you not in a mood to listen music. This is a very useful accessory. I will surely buy one for my self.
