A lot of people would say that Paris, France is the most romantic city on Earth. Maybe you know one of those couples where the husband dropped down onto one knee and proposed to his wife right under the Eiffel Tower. And maybe you have read all the romantic prose Hemingway wrote about his early days as an Expat in Paris with his wife (and all of the other women he romanced, while he was there). But, of course, Paris is really only especially convenient if you live within a reasonable Eurail trip to get there. For those of us on the North American continent, going to Paris does tend to be a bit more of an involved process. But here is a little Canada 411 – there is a place that is very European, right here in North America. If you are not in the mood for a guessing game, it is Montreal.

Montreal has a TON of great things to do with your significant other – or possibly, to find a significant other if you currently find your self to be lacking one. What follows are just a couple of examples of the great opportunities for fun and romance Montreal has to offer.

At Le Divan Orange, you can get your body moving to all kinds of different beats. Every single night of the week, Le Divan Orange features live music from a wide variety of different styles of bands. Some are established (and may even be heard on the radio), while others are just starting out and figuring out their place in it all. But it’s all a great time.

At Spa Eastman, you have all sorts of different treatments you can choose from. What better way to have a great time together than to get your pores opened up, get deep tissue massages, and just relax and be pampered? And if you’re a macho kind of guy, just tell your friends she dragged you into it.

The HP EliteBook 2740p is the latest convertible tablet PC for business users from HP. This is the first business tablet from HP to employ a multi-touch display which makes the device much easier to use in slate mode. And you have the choice of the more advanced Intel Core i5 or the Core i7 processor. The device can be used as an ultra slim portable notebook or as a tablet if you want to write, take notes or read an e-book.

A thin battery can be attached to the base of the notebook for extended battery life. With this battery, the device can operate for up to 11 hours on a single charge which means that you should be able to get through a whole day’s work or a whole day at school without having to recharge. Even without the extended battery, you should get about five hours of operation on a single charge. You can also get a docking station to accommodate the notebook and battery.

The device is far more rugged than the average mainstream PC with its construction of stainless steel on the outside and magnesium inside. It is also constructed to meet the specifications for resistance to vibration, humidity and dust of the Armed Forces (810G specs). You can get between 160 GB and 250 GB of hard disk space and up to eight GB of RAM. Options include:
-an SSD of 80 GB or 160 GB
-a Qualcomm Gobi modem that allows the device to access 3G networks and broadband deals
-a new Ultra-Slim Docking Base for $299 that includes a DVD burner, Display Port out and eSATA
The touch enabled display now enables the use of the slate mode without the necessity of using a pen. The device recognizes two fingers plus all the familiar gestures. The trackpad buttons are rubberized for easy use. You can also opt for an antiglare display that will eliminate all the annoying reflections that you get on a normal screen.

Every person in this world has only 24 hours in a day. Yet, some people become successful, while others struggle to make ends meet. What is the reason behind this? Unsuccessful people blame their luck or destiny for their failure. It is not how much time we get that makes us successful; it’s how we utilize the time to the fullest that differentiates a loser from a winner. Time Management, in other words, is the key to success. You can achieve anything you desire. All you need is the will and determination to achieve your goals.

The question is- how to increase productivity outside the workplace? While techniques like completing your most important tasks first thing in the morning, exchange hosting and keeping a log of your work help at the workplace, there are some strategies that can help you improve your efficiency outside the workplace too.

The first technique is to prioritize tasks. Some tasks can be undertaken later, while some others have to be addressed immediately. That is why it is important to chalk out a plan that includes attending to those tasks first that need to be completed urgently. The second strategy is to set short deadlines. The idea is to work on one task at a time, complete it and then move to another task. This way, you will save a lot of time, and thus enhance your productivity. Thirdly, you must try to keep your mobile phone silent while you work. We waste a lot of time answering unimportant calls. Gossiping and socializing over the phone would reduce your efficiency.

Another technique to increase productivity outside the workplace is to check your emails no more than twice a day. Studies have shown that people waste a lot of time browsing through their emails throughout the day. Finally, you can monitor your progress, and explore new ways to improve your efficiency.

Traveling nowadays has never been this pleasant. Thanks to the wonderful gadgets that keep me company during the long road trips. Since I travel a lot to visit friends and relatives and sometimes because of work, it’s easy to stay connected with everybody through my iphone. But it is actually more than a phone because practically everything I need to know about when I’m on the road like the weather, directions, hotel accommodations, exchange rates etc. can be easily obtained with the help of my very reliable iphone. When I needed some quick cash, my iphone enabled me more than once to apply for elastic loans online. When I need to divert myself while waiting in the airport I have all the games, videos and music on my iphone, which keeps me distracted during the long wait.

Recently, I bought a Sony Reader which is the size of a pocketbook, which I was able to fit in my small luggage during one of my business trips. Since I never really like watching TV in my hotel room, my new e-reader has become a great source of joy for me during my travels since it enables me to catch up with my favorite readings like Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.

Of course, I never fail to forget to bring along my Power Monkey. Thanks to its small size it’s easy to carry in my suitcase. My Power Monkey is compatible with many electronic gadgets including my iphone. It provides battery reserves so that I can continuously use my iphone without fail.

I also plan to buy a Blue Ant T1 headset once it hits the market. I heard it’s a great accessory for cellular phones. It may be great to have it because the clear audio can help me communicate much lucidly with my boss when I’m on the road.

These gadgets are so helpful, and I’ve never enjoyed traveling as much as I do now.

If you are traveling, going on cruises, flying or driving, there’s a chance you will need special, waterproof protection for sophisticated electronic devices like cameras, laptops, mobile phones and binoculars. You may also need cases for memory cards, SD cards and other kinds of microchips. You want to carry a number of these, especially to places where you will not find them easily. In such cases, consider a Pelican Micro case.

These indestructible cases are manufactured by Pelican. There are a number of uses for the cases, according to which they are named. There are Protector cases, Storm and Hardigg cases, as well as other products, besides the Micro case. All of them are high end, useful products for the hard traveler.

The Pelican Micro case has a very tough, indestructible polycarbonate body. It is made water tight with rubber linings across the outer shell. It also has other special features, for example, the lid, when closed, creates a tongue and groove fit that has a rubber liner that can absorb shocks in extreme travel conditions.

So, a Pelican Micro case comes in handy when you are traveling in airlines that tend to take less care of your baggage than usual. If you are traveling in South east Asia or South America, make sure you carry your memory cards in one of these Micro cases. If you plan on doing any water sports – like jumping out of a flying airplane- you should use these cases. Whatever else gets drenched in the dive, your memory cards sure will be intact.

Traveling with your pet can be fun but if you don’t take time to plan your trip with your furry buddy, it can turn into a stressful time for you and your pet. You will need some travel supplies for your pet to ensure that they stay calm and comfortable during your trip together. With a bit of planning and preparation you can have an enjoyable time and your pet will stay safe and happy.

One of the first things to consider is how long a trip will you be taking? Is it just a short drive or an overnight stay? A short drive might need nothing more than your pet’s leash, a small bowl for water and some bottled water for him to drink. If you are planning a longer trip then you will need to pack some pet food supplies. A small bag of kibble, some pet treats, water, containers for your pet to eat and drink from and wet-naps to clean up with are essential items to have on hand.

Okay, you’ve finally done it. Your business is finally to the point where its systems are in place and its people are well trained. After all your hard work, every hour you officially spend “working” is not devoted to a gut wrenching collection of fires that need putting out, and you’re spending far less of your professional life playing free therapist to an assortment of psychological issues you and your employees never knew you had. You’ve walked through the valley of the shadow of death, and while you may have feared what was around you, you’ve gotten past the point where everything is a dire emergency that requires your personal attention.

You’ve taken a major step toward the kind of freedom that the truly wealthy enjoy. And for the first time in a very long time (maybe as long as you can remember), you’re taking a real vacation. This vacation will be unique in that if will include absolutely no contracts to review, no conferences to attend, no investors to call on and no “working.”

But you just HAVE to check your e-mail, don’t you? You simply cannot go a few days without having your finger “on the pulse,” without starting to get the shakes. Tell yourself the truth, you’re already starting to go through some sort of business withdrawal… and you need a fix, albeit a small one.

It’s a good thing you use an exchange hosting service, to make sure your connection is reliable and secure from anywhere in the world. With the professionals you’re dealing with, hackers won’t have a leg to stand on for stealing your information, or using your remote access as a beach head to launch an attack.

All those who love outdoors might well know the food problems you’ve to face. Need not face them anymore! Next time you go out for camping, take the foldable oven with you. Researchers in Taiwan Textile Institute have developed a cloth that can take high temperatures (over 300 degrees) making it hot enough to roast chicken or bake cookies.
