Honda Aircraft Company today said that it would begin selling its all-new HondaJet in 2010. The aircraft will cost around $3.65million.
Honda also commented that this will be the fastest and the most fuel efficient aircraft in its class. It has a 420-knot cruise speed and the fuel tank can take you 1180 nautical miles.
It has a 57-cubic foot aft cargo hold and a fully private lavatory.
Honda has applied for the FAA certification and hopes that it will arrive in 3-4 days.
The HondaJet unique feature is its over-the-wing engine mount configuration that saves the precious fuselage space. Its NLF wing and fuselage nose helps reducing drag.
An advanced, customized, all-glass cockpit based on the state-of-the-art Garmin avionics platform, will boast new features and capabilities unique to HondaJet.
HondaJet will be offered in two configurations: with seating for seven and with seating for eight.
